Following the historic UFC 300 event, Justin Gaethje is preparing for his comeback to the octagon, aiming for a big return at UFC 313 next March. After a tough loss to Max Holloway in their last fight, Gaethje wants to come back stronger and better than ever. While Michael Chandler has been pushing for a rematch following his recent loss to Charles Oliveira, Gaethje has made it clear he’s not ready to take that fight just yet. However, he has mentioned Charles Oliveira and others as potential opponents for his next big showdown.
After his loss to Oliveira, Michael Chandler said on Bussin’ With The Boys that he’s all in for a rematch with Gaethje. But when Helen Yee asked Gaethje about it, he wasn’t having it. Instead, Gaethje name-dropped Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, and Max Holloway as his top picks for his next fight, leaving Chandler waiting for his turn.
In his words, “I’m more interested in a rematch with Oliveira or Poirier. I think me and Poirier would be a great fight if it is his last one. And I think that we’re both contenders and we’re not contenders if we fight each other. I know Holloway is maybe coming back up, I would love that rematch. I told them I want to fight in March.”
