Jorge Masvidal’s father has been arrested for attempted murder, according to a report from TMZ.
Jorge Senior is alleged to have shot a man in both arms at the former fighter’s home in the Miami area on Thursday afternoon. It’s understood that the two men were involved in a dispute before the senior Masvidal produced a weapon.
Per jail records obtained by TMZ, the 67-year-old was booked at 1:33 AM on Friday morning, having been accused of opening fire on another male near the kitchen of Jorge’s house during the early part of Thursday afternoon.
Jorge Sr. is said to have been at the residence with a man named Luis Leoncini before they got into an argument. Leoncini told the police the older Masvidal shot him in both of his arms; he was transported to the hospital thereafter.
The cause of the argument is still unknown.
The former UFC star’s dad was taken into custody around 3:26 PM and was subsequently charged with the offense of attempted second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.

Lawmen claim to have found a .38 revolver in a kitchen cabinet during a search of the residence. They have also made it clear that Masvidal Jr. had no involvement and was not present at the time of the incident.
