UFC fighter pay always sparks conversations post-event, with fans checking out earnings after highlights and reels. Recently, rumors claimed Jon Jones was set to earn a massive $30 million for his fight against Tom Aspinall, with the UFC reportedly ready to drop the bag. However, Joe Rogan, UFC commentator and podcaster, shut down the chatter. Rogan revealed Dana White personally called him to debunk the buzz, calling it a “bullsh*t rumor” with zero truth behind it.
For those out of the loop, Rogan actually became the source of the $30 million rumor himself. He mentioned hearing that the UFC was willing to pay Jon Jones that hefty sum for a fight with Tom Aspinall during a chat with Theo Von on his podcast.
However, Dana White soon reached out to Rogan to clear things up. White shut down the rumor, calling it “bullsh*t” and confirming the whole story was fabricated. He put the speculation to rest for good. In his words, “So Dana contacted me and said that rumor’s bulls**t. I felt obligated to tell everybody that was a fake rumor.”

Looks like Daniel Cormier was spot on. While the UFC isn’t dropping $30 million on Jon Jones, Dana White reassures that Jones hasn’t been missing out on big paydays. As DC said, it seems he might earn around $15 – $20 million.
Daniel Cormier Praises Jon Jones For His Remarkable Longevity In The UFC
During an episode of the ‘DC & RC’ podcast, Cormier was in awe of Jon Jones’ sustained success. Ryan Clark reminded listeners that Jones began his career when UFC legends like Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell were still competing. Fast forward to today, and Jones is still reigning as a champion, even as new fighters like Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira rise. Cormier couldn’t help but marvel at how Jones has stayed at the top for so many years.
No doubt, Jon Jones appears to be nearing the end of his career, with just one or two fights remaining. Having achieved everything he set out to do, there’s not much left to prove. Now, it’s about giving fans the matchups they crave and fueling his own desire to keep competing at the top level.
