Jessica Andrade is now advocating for a BMF title for the women’s division and hints that retired fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk might come back to compete for it. This move will really bring a new level of intensity and excitement to the women’s UFC division and add another layer to the sport.
The legendary former champion Jedrzejczyk was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame earlier this year. It appears she has been in talks with Jessica Andrade, who suggests another title fight could be on the horizon, this time for the BMF Belt. Andrade shared details of their conversation with MMA Fighting.
She stated, “I’ve been talking to Joanna [Jedrzejczyk], and she said she’d come back [as long as] if it’s for this [BMF] belt, she would come back.” As per Andrade, Jedrzejczyk said she would fight at 125 pounds, not 115.
Adding to that, Andrade believes it would be a great fight with either Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Angela Hill—who is always ready to fight—or Valentina Shevchenko. However, she thinks it would be especially special if the opponent were Joanna Jedrzejczyk. For now, Andrade is set against Natalia Silva for the upcoming Gilbert Burns vs. Sean Brady card.

Andrade enters the fight with a record of 26 wins and 12 losses, while Silva holds a record of 17 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no-contest. This bout will take place at the Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 7, as part of UFC Vegas 97.
