UFC legend Conor McGregor made headlines after announcing his comeback in a social media post. However, McGregor revealed that his return will not be in the UFC octagon but rather in the boxing ring against Logan Paul. While fans were anticipating his return to MMA, it now seems likely to be an exhibition boxing match. Meanwhile, Jake Paul claimed that McGregor and his management team negotiated a fight with him.
On X, The Notorious shut down all rumors of a potential fight with Ilia Topuria, calling them false. He also mentioned that preliminary agreements are in place with the Ambani family for a boxing exhibition against Logan Paul in India. Regarding his UFC return, McGregor stated that he plans to seek a comeback to the Octagon after the exhibition match.
Meanwhile, Paul claimed that McGregor and his team have been trying to involve Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) to negotiate a fight with him. Jake has now made it public, stating that he will only consider a fight with McGregor, whether in boxing or MMA, if Dana White or the UFC directly involve themselves or approve it. On X, The Problem Child wrote:
“Now it all makes sense why Conor Mcgregor & his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us. As we told them them privately & I’m now saying it publicly. The only way we’re willing to explore me vs. Conor in a pro boxing / mma fight. is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions. Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants.”
