Jake Paul certainly knows how to get under people’s skin.
Paul, who is coming off another viral knockout in the ring, has thrown out a challenge to former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier.
It all began when Cormier took issue with a video showing Jake Paul’s team member J’Leon Love being involved in a verbal confrontation with Tyron Woodley.
“I mean, the way this dude talked to T-Wood makes my skin crawl. All these kids are going to get taught a lesson I swear. And I can’t wait for it, @JLeonLove you can’t fight. Better respect dudes like @TWoodley before he puts his hands on you. He ain’t Ben!”
Jake Paul would reply to this tweet:
On ESPN’s DC & Helwani episode on Monday, Cormier issued a shutdown of Jake Paul’s offer.

“I’m not gonna punch down to some kid on YouTube that’s like, ‘Fight me.’ Why? What have you done to earn the right to fight me?” Cormier asked. “So no, it’s stilly and stupid.”
“I would like him to fight Tyron,” Cormier offered. “I would like to see him fight somebody more real. Don’t fight Ben Askren at 190 (pounds) bloated.”
During an appearance on his brother Logan Paul’s podcast — Paul expanded on his comments to Cormier:
Via Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE:
“Daniel Cormier (was saying) that’s my boy Ben, he’s gonna beat Jake, he pushed him in the face so he’s gonna win now, chirp, chirp, chirp,” “I knock him out and he’s on Twitter, ‘Ben, are you serious, bro, you went down like that. Ben are you kidding me, I can’t believe you did that to the MMA community.’ Shut the fuck up bitch. I’ll beat the fuck out of your fat ass too, just like Stipe did, Cleveland sht. I’ll beat the fk out of Daniel Cormier.”
“This dude would never fight me. I would kill him. Why would I ever fight someone like that?” Cormier said. “But my immediate reaction was, ‘I can’t stand this kid.’ So it works! I can’t stand this kid! But who punches down? You don’t punch down to somebody. I’m the guy that’s in the Hall of Fame. I’m the guy that won two world championships at the same time.
“Fight a middleweight (185 lbs in MMA). Fight Luke Rockhold! Let me see you fight Luke Rockhold or somebody like that. And then I will not only say that you have base skills, I will say you’re a real fighter. Because right now it’s all pretend. It’s all pretend.”
