Israel Adesanya savaged both Alex Pereira and his son after beating the Brazilian to reclaim the UFC Middleweight Championship at UFC 287 on Saturday.
Pereira was the victim of a vicious knockout blow in the second round of the night’s affair despite appearing to be on the front foot. Having unleashed an attack on the Nigerian-born New Zealander, forcing his legs to buckle with some strong kicks, Pereira ended the fight on his back, out cold on the back of a pair of right-handed punches.
Adesanya was not gracious in victory as he immediately leaped up to perform Pereira’s pre-match taunt, firing imaginary arrows at the downed 35-year-old after finally beating him on the fourth try.
Adesanya Gets His Revenge
Alex’s son was visibly distraught after watching his father get KO’d and was inconsolable as he cried his eyes out from the sidelines. But Adesanya is apparently not one to forget and taunted the youngster by falling to the ground and feigning unconsciousness after dealing with his dad.

Pereira’s son needlessly trolled Adesanya after he got knocked out in the first bout between the two competitors back in 2016 and, with seven years gone by, the Nigerian made sure to get his revenge as the boy stood crying in the crowd.
The taunt probably felt better than the KO itself.
Adesanya would explain the gesture after the fight, admitting he’s petty. He even referred to the kid as a “f*cking little a**hole.”
A rematch between the two men could be very interesting…
