The UFC has announced that the promotion will be heading back to Australia for its UFC 305 event. The event will take place on August 18, Sunday at the RAC Arena.
Fans who are looking to register for the pre-sale can head over to UFC.com/Perth to register their names. It is worth noting that further details on the event are yet to be awaited. The last time that the UFC was in Australia was last year in September when Israel Adesanya took on Sean Strickland.
While the fight was expected to be a dominant outing by Adesanya, it was anything but that. Strickland was able to get the better of ‘The Last Stylebender’ and secure a unanimous decision victory. In the process, he also won the UFC middleweight championship.
Interestingly, we could very well see Israel Adesanya return to action against Dricus du Plessis at the promotion event in Australia. The former champion was ready to return at UFC 300, however, it was delayed after du Plessis’ declined the offer.
UFC is heading over to Saudi Arabia in June
After a lot of anticipation, it was recently announced by Dana White that his promotion will host an event in Saudi Arabia on June 22nd. The event will be headlined by Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev.
Whittaker was last seen in action earlier this year against Paulo Costa when he secured a unanimous decision victory. On the flip side, Chimaev was last seen inside the octagon at UFC 294 when he took on the former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and won the fight via majority decision.

Interestingly, this fight will be for the No.1 contender in the middleweight division with the winner potentially being next in line for a title shot.
