The Heavyweight division of the UFC is in a rather interesting place currently. The Undisputed champion of the division Jon Jones wanted to take on Stipe Miocic last year but had to bow out of the fight after suffering from a gruesome injury. In the time being the Englishman Tom Aspinall won the interim championship belt of the Heavyweight division after beating out Sergei Palovich in a rather emphatic fashion.
Recently, Aspinall was spotted revealing what fights would he love to see take place that does not involve him.
Tom Aspinall is only the third champion in the UFC to come out of England.
Tom Aspinall reveals the fights he wants to witness in the octagon
Tom Aspinall is one of the top contenders to fight for the undisputed Heavyweight championship of the UFC. In his off time in the octagon he seems to be enjoying the finer things of life. Recently he was spotted answering some of the trivia question on who would he love to see inside the octagon for a scrap. In a video uploaded by Full Mount MMA Tom Aspinall said,
I’d have to really think about that. Top three fights. I am really looking forward to Charles Oliveria against Tsarukyan and that’s coming up soon. That’s a fight already made obviously. I’d like to see Volkanovski come back and win because I am a massive Volkanovski fan against anybody. I’d like to see Pavlovich fight Cyril Gane.
Many will agree that Tom put forward some of the most interesting matchups forward. The bout between Charles and Tsarukyan is one of the absolute best one in the world of MMA for a title eliminator bout. Whereas everyone in the MMA community would love to see Alexander Volkanovski win in the future. Whereas he also claimed that he would love to see his former opponent Sergei Palovich take on the elite kickboxer Cyril Gane.

As it turns out that Tom Aspinall also happens to be a massive MMA fan despite being the champion at the heavyweight division. Aspinall has previously claimed that he would live to fight Jon Jones for the undisputed title but it seems highly unlikely that Jon would fight Tom given he has already previously stated that he wants to take on Stipe Miocic. It’ll be interesting to see if Tom and Jon get in a scrap.
