Ireland’s Conor McGregor will make his comeback against Michael Chandler on June 29 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, having been absent for nearly three years. The 35-year-old former two-weight champion McGregor has lost his last two fights and has not competed since July 2021.
The UFC revealed on Saturday that the American Chandler welterweight match will take place after UFC 300 in Las Vegas. In his MMA career, McGregor has recorded 22 victories and six losses, while Chandler, 37, has a 23-8 record.
In the five-round main event of UFC 303, which takes place on June 29 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and concludes International Fight Week 2024, the Irish superstar and former two-division champion finally makes his 170-pound comeback against Michael Chandler.

The UFC announced the matchup at Saturday night’s UFC 300 post-fight press conference.
For the first time since breaking his leg in the rematch with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, McGregor (22-6) is scheduled to enter the Octagon. The 35-year-old Irishman won titles at lightweight and featherweight in the past.

Chandler (23-8) was defeated by submission in the third round of their November 2022 fight versus Poirier. The 37-year-old High Ridge, Missouri native has won the lightweight division in Bellator MMA three times.
At the press conference for the UFC 300: Pereira vs. Hill post-fight, UFC President Dana White announced the date of the fight between McGregor and Chandler. The competition between TUF 31 coaches is slated to take place at 170-pound catchweight over five rounds.
