In the UFC world, Paulo Costa reigns supreme when it comes to online mockery, earning the title of ‘meme god.’ The Brazilian star is infamous for his relentless trolling, sparing no one. However, it seems Dagestani fighter Ikram Aliskerov has had enough. Frustrated by Costa’s antics, Aliskerov revealed he’s targeting the Brazilian for his next fight after UFC Saudi Arabia. With tensions rising, a potential clash between the two promises both fireworks inside the octagon and drama outside it.
Aliskerov didn’t hold back after Paulo Costa relentlessly shared AI-edited and photoshopped images of him online. Costa, sidelined since his UFC 302 loss to Sean Strickland, has been stirring the pot on social media instead of fighting. While his posts usually spark reactions, this time they crossed a line.
Aliskerov took to Twitter to remind the Brazilian of his rough patch—losing four of his last five fights—and slammed him for posting “stupid” pictures just to seek attention. To which now Dagestani fighter said,
“When UFC offered you a fight with me, you said that you don’t even know my name. Now you are 1-4 in your last 5 fights and you are posting stupid photoshop pics to attract attention. I have unfinished business on February 1st. And after that I am ready to ask @ufc for your head on a plate @BorrachinhaMMA.”

The Brazilian and Aliskerov were set to fight at UFC 291, but Costa backed out, saying it was just a UFC contract tactic. Now that Aliskerov is calling him out on social media, it’ll be interesting to see if Costa accepts the challenge. But for that he has to win at UFC Saudi Arabia.
