Stipe Miocic reveals his plans
Stipe Miocic has beaten some of the company’s absolute best fighters. He has taken on Daniel Cormier, Francis Ngannou, and Alistair Overeem and beaten the above-mentioned veterans. Miocic has beaten every primary fighter in the division in the past two decades. Stipe has not fought since his loss against Francis Ngannou in the octagon. In an interview, he revealed his plans to return to the big stage against the alleged GOAT, Jon Jones. Stipe said,
You’re damn right [I’ll be Jon’s first fight when he comes back]. That’s what I want. I’m gonna wait, I don’t care. I want that fight.
Stipe Miocic made it clear he only wants to fight Jon Jones for a title in the UFC’s Heavyweight division. Miocic is the only firefighter fighting in the UFC and one of the most beloved and well-respected fighters in the UFC. Stipe has no plans to fight anyone other than Jon Jones. Jones previously stated that the only reason he wants to fight Stipe is his legacy in the division.
Stipe Miocic will be looking to become a three-time champion after winning over Jon Jones. Miocic is still one of the absolute best in the company. He is a great wrestler with technical striking skills. Stipe will want to be the champion in the Heavyweight division for the final time before he calls it a career in the UFC. It will be interesting to see what happens in the UFC soon in the upcoming months.
