Dana White frequently raises concerns over UFC fighter compensation. Even though he deserves all the credit for creating the modern sport of mixed martial arts, it bothers me that certain athletes in the top organizations in the world are having financial difficulties.
Every side has a point of contention. It’s difficult to criticize the UFC’s strategies because they have dominated the MMA scene for a good reason. However, research conducted in the last few years has revealed that the organization splits the athletes’ earnings 19–20%, which is a pitiful amount when compared to other sports.
According to Forbes, fighter compensation in 2022 will come to roughly 19 to 20 per cent, a figure that has remained stable for the past 11 years. A UFC fighter makes $12,000 to show and $12,000 to win as base pay; many believe this is too little for the final test of a fighter, and White has no intention of changing it.

Athletic commissions used to be the primary source of information on UFC fighter purses, but that changed in 2020. The UFC declared its purses “a trade secret,” which means that fighter earnings are not publicly available in Florida or other states as of UFC 261 in April.
After three months, the Nevada Athletic Commission—which oversees the majority of UFC events annually—announced that it was going to start keeping fighter purses private.
Dana White has been under fire for allegedly prioritizing some fighters over others and giving them a quicker route to a title shot. But according to the UFC President, the accusations are unfounded.
