Alexandre Pantoja took on Steve Erceg last night at UFC 301. The flyweight championship bout was the main event for the promotion’s pay-per-view event in Brazil.
Going into the fight, many considered that Erceg might trouble Pantoja with his long reach. Interestingly, that did seem to be the case in some parts of the fight. The latter was able to utilize his reach and height to keep Pantoja at bay but failed to find momentum.
However, it was Alexandre Pantoja who ultimately got the better of his opponent. After a compelling five-round fight, the Brazilian retained his UFC flyweight championship via unanimous decision.
That said, in this piece, we will take a look at how much money Alexandre Pantoja made from the fight. While nothing is confirmed at the moment, Pantoja is expected to walk away with at least $700,000 to his name following his successful title defense.
