The UFC Bantamweight division is one of the most loaded divisions in the UFC. Sean O’Malley is the reigning champion among the Bantamweight aces. He must go through some of the most dangerous guys for his next fights to retain the title. In an interview, Sean O’Malley touched on his weird interaction with Conor McGregor.
Sean O’Malley on Conor McGregor
Sean O’Malley is all set to take on Merab Dvalishvili in the octagon for his next title defense. One might expect him to poke fun at the Georgian wrestler, but he got into it with the former two-division champion Conor McGregor. O’Malley, in an interview, The Mac Life, was spotted an opening on his social media altercation with the Irish megastar. Sean said,
He’s all mad at me for Ryan Garcia missing weight and he realized he sounded silly.
Sean O’Malley revealed that he and Conor got into a rather stupid argument. Conor realized he was sounding silly when he poked Sean and got angry at O’Malley for Garcia missing weight against Devin Haney. The Bantamweight champion clarified that he is no longer beefing with the Mac as he is busy focusing on his next bout. He made it clear that the altercation could have been avoided.
Sean O’Malley is all set to take on one of the toughest challenges in the Bantamweight division in Merab, and Conor will fight Michael Chandler in the cage in the main event of UFC 303. Sean will have to up his takedown game to emerge victorious against Dvalishvili. Merab has a record for taking down every opponent he has faced in the cage. He also went on a ten-win streak in the UFC recently. It will be interesting to see what happens in near future with the duo.
