Well, this is unexpected.
Henry Cejudo might be a double-champ, but he is setting his sights on even bigger goals in 2019.
The UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion had recently called out women’s double-champion Amanda Nunes for a possible fight in the future, and he seems dead set on fighting a woman, because he recently took to Twitter and challenged women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko for a bout.
Cejudo has aspirations to become the “first intergender champion of the world.”
“So I am out here enjoying my beautiful Sunday here in beautiful Las Vegas,” Cejudo said, addressing the camera.
“But my phone just keeps blowing up that somebody by the name of Valentina ‘The Bullet’ Shevchenko is the most dominant champion in the world. And guess what? I get a little jelly, because you know what she has gold and I want that gold!
“Valentina Shevchenko, I have a message for you. I am looking to become the first intergender world champion that this world has ever seen. I’m calling you out. You can be the next to bend the knee to ‘Triple C’.”
Shevchenko successfully defended her title against Liz Carmouche at UFC Uruguay over the weekend.

I highly doubt Dana White would ever do such a thing as to put a man against woman in combat. Not in today’s climate.
