Jon Jones is currently the undisputed world Heavyweight champion in the UFC. In 2023, he returned after a four-year hiatus to finish Heavyweight Ace Cyril Gane in the first round via guillotine choke. Jon Jones is currently preparing for his next showdown in the company. He was set to take on Stipe Miocic last year but had to be ruled out because of an injury. In this article, we look at the possible guys that the MMA GOAT can take on in the octagon.
Jon Jones has never lost inside the cage, and the one deficit on his resume was due to his disqualification.
1. Stipe Miocic vs Jon Jones
Jon Jones made it clear that he wants to take Stipe Miocic just for the sake of his resume. Miocic is often considered the greatest in the Heavyweight division in the UFC. He has beaten every opponent he has faced inside the cage. Miocic has not fought since his loss to Francis Ngannou via a knockout. Stipe has always been on the top of the pound-for-pound list, and a bout between Jon and him will be a sight that no one can miss.
2. Tom Aspinall
The interim Heavyweight champion of the world is waiting on the sidelines for his title shot. He won against Sergei Palovich via an impressive first-round finish. Tom Aspinall won the interim belt after knocking out the Russian. He has repeatedly claimed he can beat Jon Jones inside the cage if given the chance. Tom Aspinall is a phenomenal striker and is yet to have an opponent for his next bout.
3. Alex Pereira
Alex Pereira is the newly crowned light Heavyweight champion of the world. He won both of his title fights via knockouts in the cage. Jon Jones called him out on his social media handle and claimed a fight between the two superstars would be massive. Jon can certainly try to get into a scrap with a guy who is ruling the light heavyweight division in the company.
