Jon Jones hints at mega-fight
Jon Jones is considered the greatest mixed martial artist ever and has won titles in two different divisions. He is still preparing for his next fight, which will most probably be against Heavyweight great Stipe Miocic. Jon is looking into the future even further as he gave out a massive hint at a plausible clash between him and another two-division champion in the near future. Jon said,
It would be absolutely massive. A guy with a chance to be three division champion and a goat versus the actual goat. Same age, different strengths. No one can argue that that would be the biggest fight in MMA history. There’s absolutely no fight that generates a payday like that. Marketing would be insane.
The bout between Jon Jones and Alex Pereira would be massive. Alex Pereira has now beaten five UFC champions in his first nine fights in the company. He recently defended his Light heavyweight belt against Jamahal Hill after knocking him out in the first round of the UFC 300. Jon Jones made it clear that a fight between himself and the kickboxing legend would be a massive one in the near future, and it might also break pay-per-view records.
With a fight against Jon, Alex Pereira will become the first guy in MMA history to be the champion at three divisions in the UFC. A fight between Jon and Pereira will be an interesting one. Alex is considered the most lethal striker in the UFC, and Jon is considered the most dominant wrestler in the UFC.
