The UFC’s Heavyweight division has always been the iconic roster for promotion. Currently, the division is ruled by an even more iconic fighter, Jon Jones. The American MMA fighter became a two-division champion after making light work of Cyril Gane in the first round last year. After returning to the octagon against Stipe Miocic, Jon shared a massive life update with his followers on social media.
Jon Jones Secures 50/50 Custody of Son
Jon Jones has been unbeaten for more than a decade. He holds the unique record of winning fifteen title fights in the UFC, the most in history. Jones is in camp to prepare for his first Heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic. Recently, the man gave a massive update about his personal life online. Jon revealed that the court granted him equal custody of his son. He wrote,
I was just granted 50/50 custody of my son, I’m the happiest dad in the world today.
This was a rather heartening revelation made by the world’s Heavyweight champion. This positive news might help the champ do his best to prepare for his next fight in the cage. The two-division champion seemed to be in good spirits months before he was set to take on one of the most versatile fighters in Stipe.
Jon showed off his wrestling pedigree against Cyril Gane. But this time, he might display his improved striking ability as Miocic is a glorified boxer in the cage. Dana White confirmed that the future Hall of Famer will defend his title before the year ends. It will be interesting to see when the UFC officially announces the dates of Jon Jones’ return to the octagon.
