The Fighter pay in the world of MMA has been a topic of debate forever. Many claim that mixed martial artists are not paid fairly in the octagon or the cage. Many former UFC stars have criticized the UFC’s policy of paying fighters chump change in the initial part of their career. One significant event in the entertainment world was the Tom Brady roast, which will be aired on Netflix in a few weeks. UFC President Dana White was in attendance and was brutally roasted by Andrew Schulz.
Dana White has time and again defended the fighter pay on several public platforms in the recent past.
Dana White gets trolled
Dana White is one of the main reasons why the UFC is currently the most prominent MMA organization in the world. After three decades of operations, the UFC has transformed into a multi-billion dollar organization. The company still hasn’t escaped the fair pay allegations from the fighters and the fans. Dana White became a victim of a brutal roast by star comedian Andrew Schulz. said,
Oh so that’s why Dana’s here. So you can learn how to f**k a Brazilian out of half there purse.
Andrew Schulz pointed out that the UFC has a few Brazilian fighters on the roster and doesn’t pay them fairly. Schulz was poking fun at star NFL quarterback Tom Brady’s separation from his wife, Giselle Bundchen, who is of Brazilian origin. The UFC houses a ton of Brazilian superstars on their roster, and Schulz quickly pointed out that Bradu needs to take some inspiration from Dana to win his divorce financially, given Dana’s experience in dealing with Brazilians.
Despite his jolly reaction to the joke, Dana White must be fuming from the inside. Schulz also pointed out that White found a hack to let the immigrants fight in the cage. White was spotted alongside BMF Champion Max Holloway and Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley in the event. It’ll be interesting to see if we will see Dana address fighter pay soon in the coming months.
