Colby Covington’s rough patch just got rougher. After back-to-back losses and his career seemingly spiraling downward, the backlash is piling up. From Jon Jones to Belal Muhammad, fighters across the division have been taking shots at him. Adding to the heat, Gilbert Burns jumped in, mocking Covington’s losing streak by claiming that if he fights again, he might end up flipping burgers at McDonald’s.
On X, Gilbert Burns shared a photo mocking Colby Covington’s career slump. The image showed Covington, dressed in a McDonald’s uniform, standing with Chael Sonnen, also in McD’s gear, serving fries to President-Elect Donald Trump.
Additionally, Burns captioned the post by suggesting Covington’s next fight might land him a job at McDonald’s, taking a jab at his poor form. Covington has won only two of his last six fights, and Burns didn’t hold back in ridiculing the once-prominent contender’s downward spiral.

It was a classic one-shot, two-hit move from Gilbert Burns, who leaked Chael Sonnen’s number and ridiculed him afterward. While he can’t take on the UFC veteran, it seems he’s setting his sights on teammate Colby Covington instead.
Colby Covington Wants To Fight Gilbert Burns
After Burns leaked Chael Sonnen’s number online, the ‘Bad Guy’ shrugged it off on YouTube. But Colby Covington wasn’t about to let it slide. During a live stream, Covington went off on ‘Durinho’, calling out his decision to leak Sonnen’s number. The American fighter labeled it childish and a security concern, slamming Burns for causing prank calls and unnecessary trouble.
Adding to that, he vowed to take action, promising to get justice for Sonnen inside the octagon. ‘Chaos’ declared he’d make Burns regret his actions, promising a brutal beatdown. He didn’t mince words, stating he’d make sure Burns “never shows his face in America again” after their potential clash.
