Recently, Gilbert Burns showed his support for Renato Moicano ahead of his lightweight title fight against Islam Makhachev. Moicano stepped up on just 36 hours’ notice to take on the main event, despite originally being scheduled to face Beneil Dariush in a non-title bout on the UFC 311 main card. Backing Moicano’s chances, Burns placed a $50,000 bet with Makhachev’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz.

“Hey @AliAbdelaziz00 50K??? My guy @moicanoufc is winning! And you will pay me on @Bitcoin deal! 🤝??” Abdelaziz wasted no time firing back, cheekily replying, “You still haven’t paid me for the Oliveira bet you lost.”

Meanwhile, Islam Makhachev, staying true to his mindset, isn’t concerned about who his opponent is. The Russian champion is ready to defend his title against anyone who steps into the cage.
