There is a reason why UFC fighters are considered some of the most brutal and violent athletes on the planet. From Jairzinho Rozenstruik to Cain Velasquez, the UFC has seen numerous heavyweights with the power to knock out anyone with a single hit. Meanwhile, UFC legend Frank Mir answered who hit him the hardest. He revealed that it was Alistair Overeem, which was quite surprising given he has also fought against Brock Lesnar.
Mir revealed in an exclusive Talksport interview that the UFC fighter who hit him the hardest was none other than Overeem. For those who don’t know, they fought at UFC 169, where Mir survived the knee strikes and went the full three rounds with Overeem but ultimately lost by unanimous decision. Mir labeled this fight as the one where he took the hardest hit ever.
In his words, “As far as punching power, I’ve fought everyone from dos Santos to… Alistair Overeem’s knee to the head was pretty life-altering. He knee’d me to the head early in the first round. I remember that was jarring, it felt like I got hit by a car.”
It’s interesting, considering he fought and lost to a beast like Brock Lesnar, yet claims Overeem delivered the hardest punch. Indeed, the former UFC heavyweight champ must have landed a perfectly timed knee, so much so that the impact still scars his memory. Meanwhile, many fans have eyes on Lesnar’s comeback.
Dana White Rules Out Brock Lesnar’s UFC Return
Undoubtedly, Brock Lesnar helped put the UFC on the global map. While the sport was popular before Lesnar, his WWE fame brought it to a wider audience and made him one of the first major crowd-pullers. As a result, fans are always excited about his potential comeback.
Meanwhile, his whereabouts remain a question for both UFC and WWE fans. Since he took a break following the big Vince McMahon drama, the speculation market was on fire when, earlier this year, he suggested ‘The Beast Incarnate’ might return at UFC 300 in April, but that turned out to be just a rumor.

Subsequently, Dana White dismissed the idea of him returning and suggested that fans might not see Lesnar fight in the octagon again. So, it is fair to say that Lesnar’s UFC career might have ended with his fight against Mark Hunt.
