There’s no denying that Francis Ngannou stood out among every MMA fighter who stepped into the boxing ring. He looked just as comfortable and dangerous there as he did in the cage. However, after a strong showing against Tyson Fury, he faced a tough bout against Anthony Joshua, where he took a beating and returned to MMA. Meanwhile, Ngannou’s manager has revealed that he hasn’t ruled out boxing entirely and is ready to make a comeback to the ring after his upcoming fight with Renan Ferreira.
Ngannou’s coach and popular MMA trainer, Eric Nicksick, recently expressed his strong belief that Ngannou will make his way back to the boxing ring after his fight with Ferreira. He didn’t stop there, as he also teased a potential showdown with Deontay Wilder, which he thinks will surely leave fans buzzing, as it could turn out to be an electrifying matchup in the future.
In his words, “I think he boxes again, I think he alternates back and forth. I just know his passion for boxing right now and obviously the paydays…I think a name-value boxer, Wilder is the name that we go and try to fight.”
The coach mentioned that Ngannou and Wilder are going to swing for the fences, throwing heavy shots at each other. Crossing his fingers, he told fans to buckle up and get ready for what could be an explosive showdown, hoping everyone gets to see these two powerhouses go all out. However, for now, he has to take on Ferreira.
