There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Francis Ngannou as ‘The Predator’ gears up to face Renan Ferreira at PFL, marking his return to the cage after a two-year hiatus. With his rising profile in the boxing world following his fight against Tyson Fury, he was asked about his future boxing plans ahead of this upcoming bout. Answering that, he name-dropped both Fury and Deontay Wilder, suggesting there could be some exciting matchups ahead.
For those who thought Francis Ngannou was done with boxing, the PFL superstar has put those speculations to rest by confirming his intention to return to the ring. In an interview with Sky Sports, Ngannou expressed his eagerness for another big boxing match. While he hasn’t officially named an opponent yet, he made it clear that he’s targeting a fight with Deontay Wilder or a rematch against Tyson Fury.
He stated, “I don’t know. I don’t have a name yet, but Wilder or a rematch with Fury are big names I’m interested in.”
Looking at ‘The Predator’s’ career, he’s made it into the top 10 rankings after nearly securing a victory against the Gypsy King. Although he lost that fight due to a controversial decision, he certainly won over fans’ hearts. However, his next bout against Anthony Joshua was disappointing, as he suffered a knockout loss. Now, it will be interesting to see if he can revive his boxing career.
Francis Ngannou Claims Dana White Lied and Jon Jones Avoided a Fight
The former UFC heavyweight title holder has once again started talking about his long-anticipated bout with Jon Jones. The Cameroonian powerhouse recently disputed Dana White’s narrative, stating that Jones avoided the fight.
In his words, “As far as I’m concerned, it was Jon Jones who didn’t want a fight with me, according to them. So many times we sat down in a meeting and they were like: ‘Oh it can’t happen. Jon Jones doesn’t want to fight anymore.’… I think the guy who controls the narrative can say whatever he wants.”
