Colby Covington seems to be in high demand at the moment. After missing in action for a significant amount of time, ‘Chaos’ made a return to the octagon recently. Featuring in the UFC Tampa, Covington faced off against a dominant Joaquin Buckley. Unfortunately, while a win would have done a world of good for ‘Chaos’, he could not manage to secure a victory.
However, despite his failure, Covington has already received an interesting fight proposal. Former welterweight contender Gilbert Burns wants to fight ‘Chaos’. “Miami April! Just ✍️ the contract! I know you not showing up! @ColbyCovMMA” said Burns. While Covington is yet to respond, the match might turn out to be a lucky one for Burns.

At the moment, the Brazilian has been struggling with his form. He has gone winless in the last three fights. Thus, facing off against a lackluster Covington might turn out to be a wise choice. Meanwhile, even after losing his return fight, Colby Covington earned the respect of a WWE legend.
Hulk Hogan Praises Colby Covington Despite Heartbreaking Loss At UFC Tampa
There were a lot of questions surrounding Colby Covington’s return. Coming back after a long layoff, ‘Chaos’ looked significantly rusty. Add to that the explosive power of Joaquin Buckley. Sadly, it was too much for Covington to take as he eventually lost the match via TKO. However, even in his loss, Covington got the praises from WWE legend, Hulk Hogan.

“Well fought brother” Hulk Hogan wrote on his X account. But this bit of praise was not enough for the fans to get excited. In fact, they asked Covington to retire instead. Thus, getting into a tight position, it remains to be seen whether ‘Chaos’ can get things sorted in the future.
