Former Middleweight champion of the world, Luke Rockhold, was one of the absolute fan favorites in the octagon a few years back. Rockhold was known for his thrilling speed on punches and his fancy yet brutal kicks. Rockhold retired from the UFC a couple of years after losing a unanimous decision to Brazilian Paulo Costa.
It was a fitting farewell to Luke as he caused a lot of trouble to his opponent and got into many entertaining scrambles. It seems that Luke Rockhold still has it, as he was recently seen knocking out his opponent in a rather brutal manner.
After retiring from the UFC, Luke Rockhold still loves martial arts, as he currently competes in the Karate Combat Championship.
Luke Rockhold knocks out opponent viscously
Many thought after bidding farewell to his UFC career, Luke Rockhold would never be seen exchanging fists in the boxing ring. But that’s certainly not the case as Rockhold currently fights at the Karate Combat championship. Rockhold was set to take on legendary striker Joe Schilling in the Karate bout. Many thought Schilling would make easy work of Luke, but that was certainly not the case.
Luke Rockhold knocked out Joe Schilling rather viscously with a right hook. Rockhold timed his right strike well when Schilling pressed and charged at him, again showing his striking credentials. Rockhold has knocked out many fighters in the octagon via his precise and powerful right-hand strikes.
Rockhold even knocked out Hall of Famer Michael Bisping with his brutal kicks and boxing. It seems like years later, Rockhold still got it. Rockhold is still one of the most dangerous fighters in the company. It was impressive to see Rockhold still being the champion he once was, and it will be interesting to see if he steps into the octagon again.
