Jorge Masvidal clearly does not like Colby Covington. And anyone who thought that their battle at UFC 272 would end this beef was dead wrong.
The two apparently had an impromptu rematch on Monday night at Papi Steak in Miami, with Masvidal reportedly taking the victory in this instance. According to TMZ, Masvidal punched Covington twice while he was leaving the restaurant, causing the UFC’s no. 1 welterweight challenger to fracture a tooth.
Footage caught the aftermath of the altercation outside Papi Steak. In the video, Masvidal is seen being held back as he tried to get at Covington. Moments later, Covington is seen standing on the street with cops surrounding him, a he tries to figure out what just happened:
Masvidal may have felt good about landing that 1-2 combo on his rival, but it looks like it’s going to cost him.
The Miami, Florida native has since been arrested on two felony charges — one count of aggravated battery with a mask and another count of criminal mischief. Cameras caught him entering the police station on Thursday in handcuffs.
