Former Featherweight champion Jose Aldo is set to take on youngster Vitor Petrino in the UFC 301 later this week. It’ll be an exciting bout in the octagon. Having been at the absolute top of the division for so long, Aldo knows a thing or two about the ideal type of fighter in the UFC. In an interview before his fight, Jose Aldo chose the following fighters.
He chose Max Holloway for his unbreakable chin in the octagon. Max Holloway hasn’t been dropped yet in the UFC octagon. He’ll take the submission from his countryman, Charles Oliveira. Oliveria holds the record for getting the maximum number of submissions inside the octagon. He wants to take the cardio of his former opponent, Merab Dvalishvili. There’s a reason Merab is called the Machine, as he can attempt takedowns until he dies. George St-Pierre is mastering taking his opponents down.
For grappling, he’s choosing another of his countrymen in Demian Maia. For striking, he decided himself. Aldo is hands down the master of spamming leg kicks in the company. He has won many fights because he damaged his opponent’s legs inside the octagon. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Jose Aldo inside pf the octagon.
