Former UFC star has revealed why he didn’t speak freely with Joe Rogan during an appearance on his podcast.
It is a known fact that Joe Rogan is arguably one of the most popular podcasts on the planet. He has been doing it for years and during his time, he has hosted guests from every different vertical of life. During his shows, Rogan is often seen talking about scientific stuff, aliens, etc.
However, Joe Rogan did not dive into those topics when he hosted former UFC star Mike Perry. The same seems to have not sat well with Perry who expected to talk about those things during his appearance on the show. Speaking about not being able to talk freely because Rogan kept the conversation very professional, ‘Platinum’ had this to say recently:
“Joe Rogan I think, I expected to have a conversation with Joe and be person to person. And it seemed like he was trying to help me…build my career. Was like me coming on your show is already building my career…He was very structured about everything he would talk about and I’m like come on man you talk about aliens and all this other sh*t. That’s the sh*t I wanna talk about, ask me some sh*t that gets my brain going.”

During an appearance on The Games with Names show, Dana White recalled how he persuaded Joe Rogan to be a part of the UFC when he was still hosting Fear Factor. The UFC president even revealed that Rogan even did the first 12 or 13 shows without being paid and said:
I had a VCR… There was this talk show… They had Joe Rogan on there… He was talking about how bada** UFC fighters were. I was like, “Man this guy knows what he’s talking about. He’s smart, he’s funny and he’s articulate. So I reached out to Rogan… We started talking and I asked him if he’s like to work for us as a commentator… Joe Rogan did the first 12 or 13 shows for free.”
