Ex-UFC fighter Melvin Guillard found himself in a lot of trouble after he knocked a man unconscious on the streets of Colorado while he was working as a bouncer for the Ginn Mill in Denver.
The incident happened outside the bar back in June 2018 after a scuffle broke out.
Via TMZ Sports:
“You can see in the video, bouncers wrestle with a man to get him outside … when suddenly, another male approaches the commotion.
That’s when Guillard goes after the guy, pushing him back with one arm … before socking the dude straight in the jaw.
The punch immediately crumpled the guy … and he lay lifeless on the sidewalk for nearly 30 seconds before bystanders were able to help him up.”
That guy would eventually press charges and Guillard found himself under arrest. Guillard fought the charges in court for a year, but would soon cut a deal with prosecutors that would have him plead guilty to one count of assault in the second degree, but receive probation, plus fines and fees.
Guillard last fought in August in the Bare Knuckle Fight Championship, losing to Isaac Vallie-Flagg via technical knockout.
