The UFC has been the ultimate entertainment hub for all the fight fans for decades now. Thousands of fighters have entered the UFC since its inception. Dana White has himself managed a plethora of MMA athletes during his time as the president. One might assume that White might have no clear favorites but in a latest podcast appearance White made it clear that he does in fact prefer a certain fighter above the rest.
Dana White reveals his favorite fighter
Dana White was the guy to bring Chuck Liddell to the UFC. Liddell turned out to be one of the best signings made by Dana White as he became the UFC Light Heavyweight champion and crowd favorite instantly. In a recent podcast episode Dana admitted that Chuck was in fact his beloved fighter of all time. He said,
Everybody knows my relationship with Chuck Liddell. Great relationship with Chuck. I managed him before. You realize when I managed Chuck Liddell the UFC didn’t want him. I couldn’t get him in the UFC because they didn’t want him. They didn’t like Chuck Liddell. Whatever the deal was they didn’t like Chuck Liddell. So we bought the UFC and Chuck Liddell became ( a champion)
Chuck Liddell definitely had an interesting career trajectory entering the UFC. Liddell has won an impressive nineteen fights in the UFC. He claimed the UFC light heavyweight title quite early in his UFC career. He is definitely one of the best champions of all time with his striking ability almost second to none.
It was only after losing to Rich Franklin Liddell decided it was time to hang up his gloves inside of the octagon. Chuck had an interesting personality outside of the octagon. There was not a single fight fan who didn’t admire the greatness of the former UFC champion. Liddell was one of the earliest inductees in the UFC Hall of fame.
Amongst the female fighters Dana White chose Ronda Rousey as his absolute favorite. Due to Rousey’s aggressiveness folks were convinced that Rousey had the potential to beat one of his male counterparts.
