UFC 303 will be a stunning affair in Las Vegas this weekend. Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka will headline the event after Conor McGregor bowed out of the main event with an injury. The duo will be clashing for the second time in the cage for the Light Heavyweight title of the UFC. In an interview, Jiri made some outlandish claims about his rival Poatan in a recent interview.
Jiri Prochazka is known to be a spiritual guy and is well known to live a monk’s lifestyle. He stunned everyone when he accused Pereira of using help from the spirit world.
Jiri Prochazka on Alex Pereira
Czech national Jiri Prochazka is all set for his title fight later this weekend. The former champion will want to reclaim the throne of the Light Heavyweight roster at the UFC 303. A few weeks back, Prochazka claimed to have sat in a dark room for three days to get his mindset right. The man is known to live an extraordinary lifestyle in the jungle and training in the wild. Recently, on the media day, Prochazka made some heavy claims against his opponent, he said,
Everyone can feel what’s around him and what’s going on, and I think Alex can’t fight without that (Spiritual forces).
Jiri claimed that Alex is taking aid from the spirits to win his bouts, a claim never heard before by a fighter in the promotion. After what Poatan has accomplished in the cage in a very short time, not many would blame Jiri for making that claim. The former kickboxing champion has beaten five former champions in his first nine fights in the UFC and became a champion in two different weight classes.
Most of the MMA community believes Alex Pereira is the company’s new face. Given the duo’s reliance on their striking pedigree, the matchup between Pereria and Prochazka will be thrilling.
