Moreover, after suffering a defeat in the trilogy bout, Conor McGregor further accused Jolie Poirier of sending private messages asking for the location of the after-party. The comments were not appreciated by fans and Jolie herself who showed a middle finger to McGregor inside the octagon.

Dustin Poirier will be returning to the octagon this weekend at UFC 299. He will take on rising star Benoit Saint-Denis. Ahead of the fight, Poirier has hinted at a potential retirement.

Upon being asked about his retirement plans, Poirier suggested that he takes it fight to fight and his fight at UFC 299 could be his last fight. He said:
“I look at it, fight to fight, man. I’m not even looking at the next fight [or] the next year. I’m looking at next weekend. Show up [and] be ready to perform for 25 minutes at the highest level once again, get my hand raised, and then I’ll assess my career… see what’s next… Every fight could be it [my last fight in MMA]. Where I’m at, [at] 35 years old, this is my 30th fight in the UFC, every fight could be it.”
