Dustin Poirier on the Pressure of His Title Fight
Dustin Poirier has been fighting the best guys in the Lightweight division for over a decade. The man has been in some big fights over the past many years. The Lightweight great was seen talking about dealing with the pressure of climbing the rankings to acquire the title shot and recently fighting for the title. In an interview with SHAK MMA, Dustin said,
I’m not going to climb the ladder again. I’ve been doing this a long time. It’s a very selfish sport. I’m ready to be a father and be a husband and be home and be into a routine. I wouldn’t say I can’t do it again. I can do it again. It’s just – this is it for me.
Dustin Poirier clarified that he is done with his love for mixed martial arts. He has won many fights in the octagon but cannot fight for the rest of his life. He mentioned that he is ready to move into the next stage of his life and be a father and a husband rather than a top-notch UFC Lightweight.

Dustin previously fought for the title twice against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira. He got submitted in both the fights in the cage.
