June was a great month for MMA fans, as the MMA community witnessed two major pay-per-view events. In UFC 302, Dustin Poirier challenged Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title. The fight was memorable in the octagon, as the duo scrapped for five rounds before Islam finished Poirier in the fifth. It seems like Poirier still did not have enough of Islam, as he called him out for a rematch in the cage.
Notably, Islam Makhachev was bound to fight Arman Tsarukyan in the octagon for his fourth title defense, but Arman has been suspended for at least another year.

Poirier has fought Khabib Nurmagomeodv for his first title fight and lost via submission. At UFC 302, he fought Makhachev but couldn’t acquire the UFC title. He had called out Conor McGregor to fight for the fourth time in the cage. But recently, Dustin wanted to taste the Dagestani power once again in the octagon as he called out Islam,
If arman can’t fight let’s go again
The Louisiana native revealed that he would be open for a scrap against Islam Makhachev in the Octagon as Arman Tsarukyan is suspended for swinging at a fan in the stands when he was walking out at the UFC 300. The UFC will surely not give another title shot to Poirier anytime soon, as the man has now fought for the UFC gold on three occasions in the cage. Poirier hinted at retirement earlier, but now it seems he is not ready to bid farewell just yet.
Dustin Poirier also claimed he wants to take on Justin Gaethje in the octagon. The MMA fans would love to see the two Lightweight aces scrap in the cage for the third time.
