Ever since joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Dricus du Plessis has been unbeaten. In merely, four years time, he won seven bouts and jumped on the top of the middleweight division as the champion. Now, the South African fighter is all set to face former champion Israel Adesanya in the upcoming UFC 305.
Ahead of his much anticipated bout, a video has gone viral on the internet. In the short clip, Du Plessis was taking heavy beating from Roberto Soldic and was eventually knocked out.
Du Plessis faced Soldic in a match at KSW 45 on October 6, 2018. Moreover, that’s the South African’s last defeat, which came almost six years back. Now that he will face Adesanya at the UFC 305, fans have heavily reacted to the viral video.

Having fought 23 times inside a MMA cage, Du Plessis has lost just twice. However, his video of getting knocked out by Soldic getting immensely viral and fans have left many crptic replies. One of them wrote, ‘Izzy is not that guy,’ joking that it wasn’t Adesanya.
One fan predicted that Du Plessis going to get knocked out by Adesanya at UFC 305. He wrote, ‘Bros going to get KO for the first time since 2018 and we all get to witness it together.’

While Du Plessis did find some support from fans, one of them wrote, ‘blatant low blow, that’s not a legit win, just from that clip. I’ll have to see the full fight but that was definitely an illegal strike below the belt.’ His comment meant that Soldic had hit the South African with an illegal strike.
Another fan found a striking difference between Dustin Poirier and Roberto Soldic. He wrote, ‘his opponents style reminds me dustin poirier’s striking.’
A fan recalled that Du Plessis’ last loss occurred when he competed in the welterweight division. He wrote, ‘Last loss was at welterweight. DDP said himself he had trouble absorbing shots at that weight.’
