In a recent statement, the UFC middleweight champion has opined that Strickland does not have enough flair for entertainment. Opening up to Fox Sports Australia, Du Plessis termed Strickland as ‘boring.’
“Nothing’s changed, he looked boring like every other fight, walking forward jabbing and teeping, it wasn’t an exciting fight… It wasn’t a bad performance, it was the most normal performance from him ever,” Du Plessis stated.
The champion also stated that during their initial fight, Strickland kept moving away from the confrontation. While the crowd booed, Tarzan remained unfazed. Meanwhile, bracing up for UFC 312, Du Plessis had a bold claim to make.
