Many fighters dream of stepping into the UFC octagon, but only the elite make it to the biggest stage in MMA. At the UFC 308 press conference, Tajikistani fighter Dorobsho Nabotov made waves by directly approaching Dana White, demanding a shot in the promotion. While Dana didn’t sign him on the spot, he offered Dorobsho a chance to prove himself in a fight. Grateful for the opportunity, Dorobsho has now expressed his thanks to Dana ahead of his big moment.
Dorobsho’s bold move at the UFC 308 press conference impressed Dana White enough to bring him on stage, introduce him to UFC staff, and discuss his future. Now, he’ll have to prove he’s worthy of a contract by competing at ZFN, the South Korean promotion run by UFC legend Korean Zombie.
It’s his chance to turn confidence into opportunity. Meanwhile, ahead of the fight, he thanked UFC Head Honcho. In his words, “I want to say thanks to Uncle Dana. I’ll show a great fight on December 14.”
In the video, Dorobsho shared that while he was born in Tajikistan, he trained and built his entire career in Russia, proudly representing both countries. Currently undefeated with an 8-0 record, he’s now gearing up for a fight against Matheus Camilo. It’ll be exciting to see if Dorobsho can secure a win against Matheus Camilo, potentially locking in his UFC contract and turning his journey into a story straight out of a movie.
