The native of Crumlin has lived in the modest Dublin 12 suburb for most of his life; in fact, he named his whiskey brand, Proper Number Twelve, after the neighbourhood.
In an interview with Bleacher Report, McGregor said that growing up in Crumlin gave him all the skills he needed to become the UFC two-weight champion, so he plans to raise his kids there before passing away.
“Dublin 12 is a place very dear to my heart,” he added, “Dublin 12 being a postal district of the Irish capital”.
As per his recent Instagram post, Conor McGregor shared snippets from the Liffey descent Traditional Race, where the UFC fighter was seen supporting Irish traditions with Forged Irish Stout.
He captioned the post as, “ Supporting Irish traditions with @forgedirishstout! 🇮🇪🙏 Congrats all who took part in the @liffeydescent this year but make no mistake when I enter this race it will be to take it over hahaha yup the Irish!”
