Colby Covington will not be watching the forthcoming rematch between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal in boxing. He terms the boxing matchup to be a “clown show.”
Though it has been on social media rather than in the UFC octagon, Colby Covington has lived up to his nickname “Chaos” in recent months. The American welterweight is now planning to make a comeback this summer on the “biggest show” of 2024.
Resuming their careers outside of an MMA cage are two of the biggest names in the welterweight category during the last five years.
Jorge Masvidal (35-17), who had retired after losing four straight games in April of last year, was unable to stay away from the action. His former opponent Nate Diaz made his boxing debut in August of last year. On June 1, they will hold the second instalment of their first-ever BMF showdown in Los Angeles.
What Issue Does Colby Covington Have With Masvidal vs Diaz Matchup?
Even though Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz are two of the more well-known figures in combat sports, they got along admirably from the start. Masvidal prevailed via TKO in the third round following a medical stoppage. The history and fight of Masvidal and Colby Covington, each of whom was the last, could not be considered to be the same.

At this moment, their intense antagonism will never cease. Apart from “Gamebred,” Diaz, who was defeated unanimously in his boxing debut against Jake Paul, has also never impressed Covington. In the end, Colby Covington advises against attending the forthcoming pay-per-view event.
As per reports by SOSCAST, Colby Covington stated “I’d put my money on the fans, you know,” He added, “These guys aren’t boxers (laughs). I’d give the money back to the fans. I’m sorry that you have to pay for this circus clown show. This is not fighting.”
According to Covington, he hopes to make his UFC comeback during International Fight Week, which is scheduled for June 24–30 in Las Vegas.
