UFC 300 is gearing up to feature an impressive lineup of fights, including a title match between Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill in the light heavyweight division. Dana White has also introduced significant bonus changes for UFC 300, enhancing the event’s anticipation.
Dana White Introduces Additional $300k Bonus for UFC 300
During a press conference for UFC 300, a reporter requested that Dana White, the UFC head, increase the bonuses from the usual $50,000. The fighters and crowd joined in, shouting for $300,000. Responding to the fighters’ demands, Dana White announced at the press conference that he would honor the request for $300,000 bonuses.
Traditionally, the UFC awards $50,000 bonuses for the “Fight of the Night” and notable finishes. However, at UFC 100 in 2009, the bonuses were temporarily raised to $100,000, which prompted some fighters on the UFC 300 card to advocate for $300,000 incentives for the upcoming event, scheduled for Saturday, April 13th.
Scheduled for April 13, 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, UFC 300 promises an array of thrilling matchups. The main event will see Alex Pereira defending his UFC light heavyweight title against former champion Jamahal Hill. Pereira claimed the title in November with a knockout victory over Jiri Prochazka.
Also, there is an exciting clash between women’s strawweight champion Weili Zhang and Yan Xiaonan on the main card. Furthermore, the “BMF” title will be up for grabs as Justin Gaethje, the current titleholder, takes on former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
