Sean Strickland is the UFC’s resident loose cannon, and he has struck again. This time, his verbal crosshairs are locked on David Goggins, the ultra-marathoner and motivational speaker. The former middleweight champion has never been one to mince words and weaseled out of controversy. But this latest tirade is a fiery one, even by his standards.
‘Tarzan’ doesn’t seem to be very fond of Goggins. In a recent interview with ‘The Schmo,’ Sean Strickland unleashed a torrent of threats against Goggins. He promised to fight and injure him and warned him to stay in his own lane. ‘
“I will break your f*cking face, dude, I will injure your little ass, bro. I’ll f*cking f*ck you up so bad, you’ll think you’re back in Afghanistan, son. You don’t want a piece of this.”
Goggins is known for his extreme endurance feats and no-nonsense motivational style. He has run ultramarathons, broken pull-up world records, and served as a Navy SEAL. Not exactly a soft target. But Sean Strickland has no love for him.
The duo had been going back and forth in the past. They even came face to face when Goggins was in Tony Ferguson’s corner and Strickland was in the crowd where he was yelling at him. Their rivalry keeps reigniting after some months of inactivity, and perhaps this saga will continue for the foreseeable future.
Sean Strickland Accepts David Goggins Challenge
‘Tarzan’s’ beef with Goggins started when he, fresh off his victory over Paulo Costa, decided to take a swipe at Navy SEALs. He sparred with one and wasn’t impressed. Naturally, this didn’t sit well with Goggins, a former SEAL himself.

Goggins, never one to back down from a challenge, threw down the gauntlet. He invited Strickland to experience a taste of Hell Week, the notoriously brutal SEAL training program.
Now, most people would politely decline such an invitation. But Strickland isn’t most people. He accepted the challenge but with a twist.
“Just so you know, man, the only thing you beat me at in life is f*cking running. But guess what, I don’t have to f*cking run. You run for me,” said Strickland in the video uploaded on Instagram.
This whole situation is like a bizarre crossover. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Strickland is a professional fighter, and there is no doubt he would decimate Goggins in a fight. Now about the Hell Week, that is a different game altogether. The former SEAL has vast experience and would more than likely win by a landslide against Sean Strickland.
