The company has many sponsors ready to shell out big bucks to get a feature in the events and on the fighters. The UFC is set to hold its 92nd UFC Vegas event in the Sin City, with Edson Barboza and Leron Murphy fighting in the main event. Recently, the fight incentives were revealed on social media, according to which the fighters pocket money from the brands.
Dana White has been accused of paying the UFC fighters insufficiently several times. But the recent sponsor money incentive leak tells another story.
UFC Vegas 92: Dana White’s fight incentives
UFC Vegas 92 is set to take place this weekend. Brazilian kickboxing legend Edson Barboza will take on Lerone Murphy in a five-round fight to move up the featherweight division. In addition to the basic pay, the fighters are paid a share of the sponsor money according to company-decided criteria. Jef Goodman revealed how much the fighters were making this weekend from the sponsors.
The UFC stars were divided into exciting categories. In tier one, we had fighters like Vinicius Salvador, who were paid a decent four thousand dollars by the company. The UFC stars in the second tier made a massive four and a half thousand dollars; in the third tier, folks were making a handsome sum of six thousand dollars. In the fourth, fifth, and sixth tiers, the fighters made eleven thousand, sixteen thousand, and twenty-one thousand dollars.
UFC Veterans Edson Barboza and Angela Hill were in tier six of the sponsorship bracket. Given their extensive experience in the ring, it’s only fair that the duo make the maximum amount of money. Apart from their basic pay, they are set to pocket twenty-one thousand dollars in the event. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top later this weekend in the cage.
