Dana White gets honest about Sean O’Malley’s inclusion to the UFC before Conor McGregor returns in UFC 303 against Michael Chandler. American mixed martial artist Sean O’Malley is a professional fighter. He is the current UFC Bantamweight Champion and participates in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Bantamweight class. As of April 22, 2024, he is ranked sixth in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings.
When O’Malley defeated Alfred Khashakyan, he was awarded a Dana White’s Contender Series 2 seat. After a spectacular first-round knockout victory over Khashakyan, O’Malley was given a UFC contract. Since his inclusion in the UFC, Sean O’Malley has always taken Conor McGregor as his inspiration and has admired the fighter.
His stellar professional mixed martial arts record is 18 wins, one defeat, and one no-contest (17-1-0 (1NC)). A majority decision decided O’Malley’s title defence and exacted revenge on Marlon “Chito” Vera, who dealt him his lone defeat in mixed martial arts at UFC 299 on March 9, 2024.
Conor McGregor Makes His Return To UFC 303 Against Michael Chandler
Conor McGregor, a former UFC two-division champion, is hungry to compensate for lost ground. When “The Notorious” enters the cage to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29, he will be ten days away from ending his three-year layoff.
A fractured leg caused McGregor’s extended absence from the ring he sustained during his trilogy match against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He was also ineligible since he had left the anti-doping testing pool. The former champion-champ now expresses his desire to continue competing.

One of McGregor’s social media posts called for a “lifetime ban” on professional boxer Ryan Garcia, and it featured O’Malley.
Before upsetting Devin Haney on April 20 in New York, Garcia—whom McGregor also had a good relationship with in the past—tested positive for the illegal drug, ostarine. Garcia has refuted any cheating claims but might still face disciplinary action.
The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) temporarily suspended O’Malley, the UFC bantamweight champion, but later determined that the amounts O’Malley had tested positive for were consistent with a tainted supplement. In the end, USADA and the UFC changed the UFC’s drug policy to prevent circumstances similar to those brought on by tainted supplements, even if O’Malley insisted on his innocence.
