The Palisades wildfire is now affecting the big leagues, too. After the NBA game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Hornets was canceled, there have been widespread rumors about the future of UFC 311. Scheduled for January 18, 2025, the designated venue for the event was chosen to be the Intuit Dome. However, a recent update from Dana White revealed that he already has a Plan B ready if things do go haywire.
A recent update from the official Instagram handle of @homeoffight saw White revealing his plan B. As it turns out, the UFC head honcho has an alternate venue in mind. White mentioned in a recent interaction with popular streamer Adin Ross, that UFC 311 will likely go to Vegas if the fire reaches Inglewood.
“Well, if the fire gets bad, we’re coming to Vegas. Yeah, we’re moving to Vegas if it gets too bad. But as of now, it’s all good. The NBA’s [LA Lakers vs. SA Spurs] gonna go this week,” White stated.
Meanwhile, the current venue, Intuit Dome, also posted an update regarding UFC 311. And if things do not become worse, they will be happy to host Dana White and co. on January 18.
Intuit Dome Ready To Welcome Dana White’s Promotion
In the wake of the California wildfires, the Intuit Dome postponed the Clippers’ recent game. However, as per their official update, there will be no changes in the schedule for the next week. Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets are supposed to face off against the home team on January 13 and 15, respectively. With that, they also mentioned UFC 311 taking place as usual.
“Next week’s events will continue as scheduled at Intuit Dome, with the Clippers hosting the Miami Heat on Monday, January 13, and the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, January 15. We will welcome UFC 311 on Saturday, January 18,” read the official X update.
