Dana White fighting against online piracy is like America’s war on drugs….The piracy and the drugs are winning each and every round.
After the UFC 264 event was over, White was asked about the online piracy and claimed his team does a great job in not letting it happen.
Before the highly touted UFC 264 pay-per-view, UFC boss Dana White issued a warning to those people who had plans to illegally stream the event.
“We’ve been one of the leagues that has been so proactive on piracy…we’ve caught a lot of people. They cry and they beg not to be prosecuted and all this other stuff. We just overcame a huge hurdle in the piracy world and we’re going to catch some of these guys in 2021 and I look forward to the crying and the begging.”
“We’ll see how tough they are when they get caught. You can’t shut the whole thing down, that piracy industry is going to go on forever. Let me catch a few and watch what happens — and I will, oh it’s coming.”
In reality, White and his team could never win this battle, let alone the war on onoine piracy. It doesn’t matter how many websites get taken down, they just reappear under a different name, only to get shared online to others.
