Building a legacy in combat sports takes years of hard work and sacrifice. Athletes like Francis Ngannou, who delivered knockout punches and brutal blows, earned their greatness in the octagon. However, recent actions by the UFC seem to be erasing Ngannou’s legacy. After Israel Adesanya voiced his frustration, Dana White intervened, but instead of calming things down, it only fueled fans’ outrage further.
Ahead of UFC 305, Adesanya voiced his frustration with the UFC for removing Ngannou’s name from the Countdown show despite mentioning him during the press conference. In an interview with ESPN MMA, he insisted on correcting this, saying it’s wrong to erase such a crucial piece of history. He assured, “We need to fix it.”
Meanwhile, talking to Kevin Iole, White took responsibility for removing Ngannou from the UFC 305 promo videos. He said someone cut Ngannou out without his knowledge, but it’s his fault as the person in charge. White revealed that he also apologized to Israel Adesanya for the mistake. To which fans ridiculed the UFC boss:
One fan called Dana White a ‘shameless fool’
Meanwhile, one fan suggested that White should have apologized to Ngannou instead of Izzy.

Some fans aren’t buying White’s statement and believe the removal was intentional.
On the other hand, one fan was surprised that White actually accepted it.
Jon Jones Says Francis Ngannou Is The Only Fight Worth Fighting After Stipe Miocic
Talking about retirement is quite emotional for any athlete, and just like any artist who wants to end their performance on a high note, athletes want the same. Regarding retirement, Jon Jones, who is reportedly set for his last UFC fight after fighting potential Stipe Miocic, says the only thing that could make him fight after Miocic is Francis Ngannou.
Currently, MMA fans see Ngannou and Jones as the two baddest men on the planet. It would be fascinating to see how a fight between them would play out and who would come out on top. Jones himself believes it’s worth delaying his retirement for. The big question now is whether this fight will actually happen and when it is something only Dana White and the PFL boss can answer.
