Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are set to scrap inside the boxing ring after fighting for the BMF bout in the UFC.
Nate Diaz wants to make a return to the UFC octagon
UFC Legend Nate Diaz is on a promotional run in the UFC as he’s set to take on Masvidal for the twelve rounds. Many believed that Nate already achieved the Hall of Fame caliber. However, the MMA veteran still hinted that he wanted to return to the UFC octagon. Nate Diaz, in an interview given at the pre-fight press conference, said,
Coolest thing right now from the UFC is Leon Edwards. That’s what I have got my sights on. I want to fight him. I like that fight now. I think he’s doing great. I think he’s probably the best thing in the UFC right now.
Nate Diaz made it clear that if he ever returns to the world of MMA, he would love to take on Leon Edwards as he’s the reigning welterweight champion of the world in the company. Nate and Leon have scrapped before, and Edwards emerged victorious in the five-round bout. Leon hit him with a brutal right in the final minute of the five-round fight, which wobbled Leon, but Leon persevered to win.
Nate Diaz last fought in the UFC when he beat Tony Ferguson through submission. The MMA fans would love to see Diaz returning to the Octagon and scraping it with Leon. But many would agree that Diaz’s bout against Edwards might not be the smartest choice for the man. Diaz was unranked towards the end of his career in the octagon. Let’s see what happens in the near future.
