The UFC 303, which is set to take place next weekend, was supposed to be headlined by Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. However, Conor had to withdraw from the fight due to an injury in camp. The UFC and the MMA community hope to see their leading man return to the octagon this calendar year, and now Mac’s teammate, Peter Queally, has opened up on a plausible date for his return.
McGregor and Queally have a long history in MMA. They are often spotted together in the cage. Recently, Queally gave a massive update on when Conor can return to the cage.
Conor McGregor’s Return to the Octagon
McGregor was all set to return after three years away from the cage, but the injury halted his comeback. And according to Queally, fans worldwide will have to wait a bit longer. In an interview to TalkSport, Peter said,
It seems like they will endeavour to make that fight in September time. Something like that maybe, that’s what I’m hearing.
Who is Peter Queally?
Peter Queally is an Irish MMA fighter who competes in Bellator’s Lightweight division. He claimed the UFC is trying to set up a Conor fight in September, which was a rather massive revelation, as everyone wants to know when Conor fights in the octagon. The Irishman is undoubtedly the biggest MMA star in the world and has been part of one of UFC’s highest-selling pay-per-views.
The UFC 303 already earned $20 million in gates a few months ago when the UFC announced that the former two-division champion would be making his return. It’ll be intriguing to see if Peter Queally’s prediction comes true.
